Who is behind Tiptoe Traveller
My name is Sandy Olmi. I was born in France and I have been living in the UK for over 15 years. I am married to a wonderful Italian man who takes most of the pictures for my blog (thank you Riccardo!).

Discovering new places and new cultures is a passion of mine. When I choose a holiday destination, my key priority is to be able to meet the local community to fully understand the way people live. Respecting their environment is essential in my eyes and we should aim to limit our impact as much as possible. 

Why Tiptoe Traveller
The purpose of this blog is simply to help people do a little bit more to preserve our planet. I am not a travel expert nor am I an ecological guru but I do believe there is room for a beginners' guide on "how to become more environmentally aware while on holiday". This platform is ideal to discuss the concept of ecotourism and to share insights on green issues with like minded fellow travellers. I will also share some of my personal travel experiences.
